MEET THE ARTIST
Hi, I’m Emma, the artist behind Silly Sketched Pet Portraits - a riff on the bad, rubbish, and ugly pet portraits out there today.
I'm an almost Native NYer having been raised and lived here ever since the age of 1. NYC is truly home to me and is an inspiration in my stationary.
Inspired after my 4th layoff in tech, I decided to challenge myself to create silly (mini) pet portraits. A quiet rebellion against perfection and tech by offering modern fast portraits going back to the roots of the hand-drawn. They are also my way to spread joy in honor of my late father and rescued pets.
Because everyone deserves a silly sketch of their best friend.
Silly Sketched Pets also expands into my silliness and how I navigate the world, through the creation of humous pet-centric greeting cards & stationary availble for wholesale.
I am a NYC based artist who specializes in expressive and colorful ink illustrations that capture personality and character. I love learning new art techniques and exploring new mediums to incorporate into my practice.
Currently my primary work is as a live illustrator who draws your pets from life or photo references! I use ink and markers to capture personality in quick portraits that take around 5 minutes.
I am also a fine artist, building a collection of pet portraits that highlight individuality and humanity of our pets through fashion portraits. We give back throughout the year to local rescues through services and a percentage of profits.
